The Fitzwilliam Hotel — Dublin

Second time to stay in The fitzwilliam, booked superior room this time around and was disappointed, there was a four poster bed advertised that wasn't in the room and the bed was only a 4'6'' bed. The balcony takes from the room size and is not necessary. Reccomend any booking in to go for the cheaper option in the executive style room which is much bigger and has a larger bed.

Overall I thought that the hotel was very good. Location could not have been better for shopping, restaurantsand theatres. The only criticism I really have is that there was an off-putting "musty" small along the corridors which hit you when you got out of the lift. Thankfully the smell did not carry into the rooms. Otherwise an excellent hotel for a city break.

The service was great!!! Very good breakfast and nice bar to sit back and have a drink. The room was Very Nice in a nice location. Would definitely stay there again.

The Fitzwilliam is a smallish boutique type hotel right on Saint Stephen's Green (park in central Dublin) in the heart of Dublin. It is located at the top of Grafton Street which the main pedestrian shopping area. Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and the like all within a short walk. The hotel as a Manhattan type feel in its decor and the room layout; very trendy. Great value all aroun. I have now stayed here twice in the past two months and will definitely use this hotel as my preferred hotel when in Dublin.

Top of the line. Great food, room, lobby, location. Clean, roomy, trendy. Free parking. Location is right near temple bar area and trinity college.

The second floor rooms are directly above a disco that goes until 4 A.M. I had to be moved. The rooms are small and not comfortable. The only chair did not face the TV. There was no place to put my luggage. I got a call from the desk at 11PM, asking whether I wanted my laundry picked up. There are better locations, a little away from th econstant bustle of Grafton St.

Beautiful hotel, super comfy bed, fantastic location at the end of Grafton St. right across from Stephens Green. Our room was at the back of the hotel, completely quiet. Staff was very helpful to us when we lost a ring (it was recovered by a staff member). We would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel right in the center of everything!!

This hotel is wonderful, the room was very impressive almost did not want to leave the room to shop. The location of the hotel could not be better, was attending a gig in the RDS and there were so many ways i could get to the RDS it was brilliant. The staff were very helpful always and was able to shop just around the corner. Would also be a good place to stay if you just wanted to treat yourself. The hotel has a hair salon, gym and beauty treatment area which were amazing also.

Great location on St. Steven's Green and near Grafton Street. Friendly staff, very helpful on all counts. Didn't eat here at all - so I don't know about that -but the room was clean and stylish, and again- location, location...

I loved the rear garden view- in the middle of the city. Watched man washing hotel windows. Room size small in comparison to other less expensive hotels . Proximity to Grafton St. distracting- too many people/stores/activities for my taste.Nice to be right opposite St Stephen's Green and its gardens.

we were very happy with all aspects of our stay in the Fitzwilliams. Right in the middle of town, but we never heard any traffic noise in our room with outlook on a modern minimalist garden. Staff were always friendly, discrete and helpful. We were sad to leave and will definitely come back another time.

Fantastic hotel. Very helpful staff couldn't do enough for you. Even had a huge celebrity staying which we were there. Recommend it to anyone.

I've wanted to stay in this hotel for a while, so was very glad that it lived up to expectation. The rooms were stylish and comfortable (although ours was very slightly small) and the bathroom was clean and had a wonderful shower. The staff were also extremely helpful, especially when we had problems in the middle of the night connecting to the free Wi-Fi service. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Could not have found a better hotel or location. It is right up the street from Grafton St., (the pedestrian st) it is across the street from Stephens Green a beautiful park, and blocks away from the Temple Bar area and O'Connel St. I am picky and it exceeded my expectations which was a very nice surprise. Very quiet and comfortable beds, plus the staff was very friendly and helpful. I give this hotel an A++ .

Overall very nice with excellent service but just not five star in terms of the finish in the room, shower temperature varying and noise from other rooms clearly audible.

The hotel is beautiful and while our room was smallish, it was beautifully appointed with a nice view of a garden. Very comfortable beds. The only complaint that we had was a noise that started around 6am that was either hot water heating in a boiler or a noise from the elevator close to our room that we didn't hear at any other time of our short stay. Probably something temporary and we didn't mention it to the management.

The fitzwilliam is in a perfect location. Had a wonderful stay there. The staff were very helpful and shared our enthusiasm for exploring the city. A little disappointed that the beauty treatments were not available on Sunday as this would have been a good day (especially as it was raining) to try some before we returned to the airport.

definitely great place to stay,great location. beds really comfortable,and good bathrooms,plenty of mirrors,unlike most hotels.proper hair dryer provided.

Everything was great from the moment we arrived. Staff was helpful and friendly, helped us book tours, room was a good size and very stylish. Bath tub was so great I had to take a bath. Located across from a beautiful park.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to check in area .Check in staff kindly changed our room from inward looking to one looking out over St. Stephens Green and we were advised that these rooms might suffer from a little late night noise . We fouund room spotlessly clean , excellent bathroom and fantastic view over St. Stephens Green . No real noise to speak about and was pleased to be able to open window at night .Did not use hotel restaurant as there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of hotel .Bar service was excellant and had a good mixture of clientele on the night we stayed .Overall a very pleasant experience .

The Fitzwilliam has a graet location in Dublin, but the rooms at the basic level are on the small side, and if you get put on the 6th floor, be prepared for no lift all the way! Apart from this, the hotel is very modern and has a good cocktail bar, if perhaps lacking in atmosphere. For a little more money or even same, you could stay somewhere with a bit more wow.

This hotel was a pleasure and the staff are so nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Well worth the money.

Woth a visit - nice clean hotel, friendly/ helpful staff and ya could not be closer to the centre of the city!

Our stay at The Fitzwilliam Hotel was worth it the moment we exited the taxi outside. The bellhop was there in an instant, and everyone inside extended his warm welcome. As did the lobby with its couches, fireplace and dimmed lighting. The reception staff and Concierge were wonderful, providing outstanding dining and nightlife options. Even the coffee shop suggestion was perfect! The room was comfortable (allowing three women to get ready with no shoving), cozy and clean. The workout facility, although small, did the trick for a quick workout. We loved it from the time we arrived, and have continued raving about it since. The service was above-and-beyond and made the stay worth every penny.

At the foot of Grafton Street, and just across from St. Stephen's Green, the Fitzwilliam could not be better situated. Passing through Dublin for a one-night stay, we were very satisfied with this comfortable, if pricey, hotel. The staff were excellent.

The Fitzwilliam Hotel is smack in the middle of everything in Dublin-prime location for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, the works. The service at the hotel is absolutely exemplary. The whole staff was more than accommodating when a few mishaps occurred during our stay... which leads me to the one negative about the hotel. They're currently in the middle of doing some upgrades, so some of the rooms, though really nicely decorated, are just not in great condition. The room decor is modern and inviting, but the furniture is lackluster and cheap. (laminate wood vs solid wood) Also, the restaurant in the hotel, CITRON, is WAY overpriced even for the area, not very comfortable, and the food wasn't anything i'd write home about. The tables and chairs reminded me of something you'd find at IKEA. For a short stay, this hotel was great, and I'd definitely recommend it. But for any more than a long weekend, go for the grafton hotel or any one of the other nicer hotels within a 3-block radius.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon to Ireland. The room was very modern and clean. Everything seemed new. The restaurant and bar were also top notch and the service was excellent--there was always someone ready and willing to answer questions and help you out. The park across the street was great for walks and the shopping area at Grafton St. was right outside the door. Plenty of city bus and tour bus stops at the Stephens Green park less than a block away. Also a taxi lineup area is just outside the hotel. Highly recommended.

Lovely Hotel, great location, very helpfull staff, all in all made for an excellent break

Had only one night grace away from the kids in Dublin so decided to splash out on 5 star hotel and certainly was not disappointed with our choice.Hotel so handily located at top of Grafton Street.Car park very convenient at rear of hotel and only 10Euro for stay.Staff were all very effecient and friendly.Room was spotless and very tastefully decorated.Wife was very impressed that our room was cleaned twice in one day and towels changed .Breakfast was excellent and was served up until 12am which we used to full advantage enjoying the luxury of a lie in.Our only minor fault about the hotel was the bar which lacked atmosphere and any buzz though there are umpteen number of establishments within walking distance to savour the dublin scene

I have to say that I regular stay in hotels when on business. However, I have to say that the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Dublin is one of the best that I have stayed in It is definately 5 star.

Great hotel in a great location just off Grafton Street and Stephens Green. A few blocks down to Temple Bar area for entertainment. I found Dublin very expensive for American travelers. $10 beers, $25 hamburgers. Very crowded bars and resturants. If I travel to Ireland again I will get out to one of the small towns and away from the tourist and high prices. Lovely city, fun loving people and everyone was very nice.

This is a pricey hotel but you just can't beat its location. Stellar.

Stayed in Dublin before but this was a much better experience. The hotel was in a beautiful location and the rooms excellent. We spend a lot of time going abroad but this is by far the best hotel we've stayed in. Will definitely stay there again when we go to Dublin

excellent location on st stephen's green, directly across from the luas (light rail). quiet. good staff.

Everything was within reach at this location - public transportation, sites, restaurants, a mall with a food court, 'Hop on - Hop Off' tour bus stop, tram - all within a short walking distance and even across the street. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. My son who is 20 made his way to the Temple Bar area at night where people his age go and he said he had a great time - again all within walking distance. For St. Patrick's day, the parade was very close. Also, the restaurant "Dandelions" is next door where they serve Irish Stew, Guinness Hot Pot etc. There is a good Indian Restaurant resonably priced called "Tandori" within a few blocks. I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I've done alot of traveling and this is probably the first time that I picked a hotel that was in the perfect location and at a reasonable price.

Our stay at the Fitzwilliam Hotel was excellent and I would certainly stay there again. The hotel was well positioned for the shops and bars nearby. Service was excellent and the room was of a high standard.

The Fitzwilliam served as our lodging for the last stop on our self-drive vacation which started in Shannon. The hotel proved to be a glorious end to a wonderful vacation. The hotel's public spaces and our specific room exhibited a professional decorator's detailed attention to a well-coordinated theme and excellent taste. The room's furnishings were well planned for comfort with touches that exceed the ordinary and expected...felt that the higher Dublin accommodation prices in this case were definitely well worth every Euro charged. I appreciated the hotel's valet parking for our rental car...at 10 Euros per day, it was worth it given the fact that several other hotel options I considered did not provide such a parking service.

This charming boutique hotel is right across from St. Stephens Green, a wonderful location also close to Grafton street for good shopping. The rooms were larger and clean and the bed comfortable. Bring CDs with you bc the room has a cd player. It's a bit of an overstatement to call the tiny one room exercise area a gym, but in a pinch it works. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms are quite. Highly recommemnd.
