Riad Dar Mimouna — Marrakech

I loved my stay here at this Riad. It is a great value for the money and close to the main square. I felt badly about how loud we may have been in the room.

The Riad is well located, with fantastic roof top breakfasts. The rooms are typical of a Riad, long and thin and maintain the original authenticity. We had a great stay here!

The staff was very warm and hospitable and also very helpful with recommendations on where to eat and what to see. The room we stayed in was very pretty and the location was close to the main plaza.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riad Dar Mimouna de la Medina! The Riad offers massages and a turkish bath on the roof, which my friend and I were quick to book upon arrival in Merrakesh. This set the pace for a relaxing vacation! The riad's location is extremely convenient-- with just a 10 minute walk to the main medina square, where you can find jumping monkeys, snakes on carpets, women offering henna tatoos, bbq lamb on skewers, and a whole suk full of amazing gifts. Lastly, my compliments go out to the Riad staff, that answered all our travel questions, cooked an amazing breakfast on the roof overlooking the medina, and were able to accomodate an additional guest who joined our group at last minute.

Premessa: Marrakech è una bella città ma va affrontata con il giusto spirito. L'accesso al riad è attraverso un vicolo che inizialmente può intimorire, come del resto altre parti della città. Ad onor del vero, nei 6 giorni trascorsi, non abbiamo mai avuto problemi. Veniamo al riad. La struttura è ottimamente tenuta, un'oasi di pace dove ritirarsi quando la confusione intorno diventa troppa. Noi abbiamo riscontrato 2 problemi che impediscono di dare un giudizio positivo. Il primo, la qualità della colazione, veramente bassa. Quantità minime, nessuna variazione da un giorno all'altro. Il secondo, il bagno. Il rubinetto del lavandino perdeva infatti copiosamente, tanto che il bagno si allagava anche solo lavandosi le mani. In aggiunta l'acqua, proveniente da un serbatoio, aveva un odore sgradevole che si diffondeva poi in tutta la (bella) stanza. La stanza era bella e confortevole, ma la totale mancanza di armadi o cassettiere ci ha costretto a lasciare tutti i vestiti in valigia per tutto il soggiorno. Personale gentile ma non particolarmente disponibile. Non ci è mai stato chiesto se fossimo soddisfatti, se ci servisse qualche cosa. In una struttura con 10 camere forse il cliente si aspetta un servizio un po? meno impersonale. Insomma, un prodotto valido ma, a nostro giudizio, non al livello del prezzo richiesto.
